Pure Projects provided the Project Management services for the new Moorabool Aquatic Recreation Centre (MARC) Indoor Stadium, in Maddingley Victoria.
The Moorabool Aquatic and Recreation Centre is a three-stage development that consists of:
• Stage 1: Indoor Sports Stadium (Completed) $19.0 m
• Stage 2: Regional Bowls and Community Hub (Design completed, on-going ) $12.0m
• Stage 3: Indoor Pool Complex (Concept completed, on-going ) $45.0m
The construction of the indoor stadium facility (Stage One) commenced in 2022 for the Victorian Government and Moorabool Shire Council, and it was successfully completed in October 2023.
The indoor stadium features:
• Four indoor highball courts
• 340 seat stadium with stand-alone change rooms
• Entry, reception, kiosk, office and administration areas
• Public toilet facilities
• 2 Multi-purpose / program spaces
• A function room with kitchenette
• First aid room and referees room
• Changeroom facilities
• Storage and plant room
• Car parking with 118 spaces
(STAGE 2) The Regional Bowls Club:
• Two competition indoor all weather greens
• One outdoor practice green
• Outdoor BBQ and dining area
• Commercial Kitchen and Bar
• Bistro
• Community Function centre
• Club rooms
• Carpark with 36 spaces
(STAGE 3) Aquatic Centre:
A year-round multi-purpose recreation centre, featuring aquatic, health, fitness and leisure facilities to meet community and visitor needs.
• 25 metre indoor lap pool
• A leisure and learn to swim pool
• Warm water program pool
• Changing facilities including family and accessible change rooms
• Spa, steam and sauna
• Café offering high-quality food with a large seating area
• Gym, group fitness and spin studios
• High priority disability access
• Multi-purpose spaces
• Car parking and access requirements
